TASTING NOTE Classical in its fresh herb, lime cordial and passionfruit seed with a coastal element of weathered rock and salt spray. The palate is linear and textured, finishing dry and salivating. Picking early has not only captured the classic herbal notes of the variety but also allowed the vibrant acid profile to be balanced by the concentration from low yields, a hint of barrel weight, and a touch of residual sugar retained from the fermentation. Intensive canopy management provides us with a good balance between varietal herbaceous notes as well as ripe, tropical characters.

On the aroma we find guava and passionfruit green melon, white fleshed nectarine and exotic lychee and lemongrass.

The palate is refreshing with lively passionfruit fruit flavours, with a plush mid palate of nectarine and a crisp lychee and lime citrus finish.

Picking decisions were taken to maximise fruit expression whilst still maintaining the delicate balance between ripeness & acidity. The fruit was gently pressed, with only the free-run juice going to the tank & a small portion going to neutral French oak barrels. A slow, cool fermentation followed to ensure purity of fruit & then it aged on yeast lees for approximately 6 months to add texture and mouthfeel. Both parcels of wine were then blended together, adding different layers of texture & additional complexity to the finished wine before being estate-bottled here at the Greystone vineyard.

With our long summers and Maritime climate we are able to get our Sauvignon Blanc deliciously ripe, giving tropical fruit aromas and softer acidity than many SB from New Zealand. Grown exclusively at our Waiheke vineyard, this wine has aromas of lime and guava. Tropical hints of pineapple on the palate elegant and refreshing. gentle acidity.Beautifully Fruity 2024 wine. to remind you of the wonderful Summer we’ve just had.

TASTING NOTE
This wine is made from beautifully sun-ripened fruit grown on our established Rocky Vineyard vines. Fresh white florals of rose and jasmine are complemented by lifted aromatics of pear, subtle spice and a touch of honey. On harvest day, the fruit was soaked in skins until the desired level of tannin and flavour was gently extracted, then pressed. This approach was chosen to build structure and complexity in the finished wine. While the flavour profile is ripe and expressive, the wine remains dry and mineral in style.

TASTING NOTE
From grapes grown on naturally low-yielding, old vines, this wine is vibrant and complex. Grapefruit, peach, and earthy clay-pot aromas complement a fresh, focused palate. Fine phenolic texture and mineral acidity add depth and length, respectively. The ocean salinity, oak influence, and juicy tree-fruit notes from the grapes round out what is truly a charming wine.
