Benriach 25 Years Old The Twenty-Five aged for 25 years in sherry, bourbon, Madeira, and virgin oak casks to create a richly sumptuous single malt with mellow smoke and a masterful oak influence.

Benriach 25 Years Old The Twenty Five has aromas of smoked apricot, dark cherry chocolate, and hazelnut toffee on the nose.

The palate has a magnificent depth layered with rich baked fruit, toasted oak spice, orange, cinnamon, and caramelised smoke. Benriach was founded in 1898 by Longmorn owner John Duff. It didn’t last long, as it was forced to close only two years later when the Scotch whisky market collapsed following the bankruptcy of Pattisons Whisky.

The distillery finally got the appreciation it deserved in 2004, when an independent consortium took over: the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, led by whisky expert Billy Walker.
