Indri Agneya is a lightly peated Indian single malt whisky produced by the Piccadily Distillery in Haryana, India. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, it is bottled at 46% ABV and named after a Sanskrit term meaning “belonging to fire”.
The whisky is known for its complex flavor profile of tropical fruits, toffee, and subtle peat smoke.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Delicate hints of chocolate intertwined with subtle vanilla sweetness, a touch of spice, dried apple and apricot. Notes of fruit jam and peat dust with earthy undertones.
- Palate: Tropical fruits like mango, ripe banana, rich toffee, light spice followed by a warm embrace of dried peat smoke. Melon adds a refreshing twist, while a sweet, fruity essence lingers with a soft, rounded smokiness.
