Excellent single malt Scotch whisky from Aberlour – it’s the 57th batch of their A’Bunadh expression! These releases are made with whisky drawn from Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts and bottled at cask strength, which is 60.7% ABV for batch 57.

Nose: Jamaican Ginger cake, chocolate buttons, a kick of black pepper and sugary coffee.

Palate: Rum-soaked raisins dusted with dark-chocolate shavings and spicy clove. More sweet coffee, now with some chicory in tow

Finish: Christmas spices and Maltesers.
