Cantera Negra Añejo offers a remarkably smooth taste and a warm finish, aged for an average of 30 to 36 months.

This Añejo maintains the subtle citrus and earthy hints of Cantera’s Silver and Reposado Elixir de Agave products, but the aging process imparts and highlights subtle new flavors resembling the cooked agave itself, with a more woody and vanilla ending.

Cantera Negra is made in small-batch quantities from hand-selected blue agaves. Their blue agaves are grown to maturity in the valley regions of Jalisco, Mexico, and are selected only from fields that meet Mr. Becherano’s precise and proprietary requirements for black volcanic rock soil. The name, Cantera Negra, means black quarry rock in Spanish.
