Cocchi Barolo Chinato Esportazione
The limited-edition Cocchi Barolo Chinato Esportazione was released to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Cocchi. This version of its classic aromatised wine is made with grapes from a single vineyard, a single vintage and a single cask from the Bava family’s estate in Castiglione Falletto.
TASTING NOTES: The nose opens with rich and woody notes of cinchona, dried tobacco leaves and spices, followed by the dried rose of Barolo and cocoa beans. On the palate, a delicate sweetness gives way to the deep complexity of the single cru Barolo DOCG. Dark berries, violets and velvety tannins are found together with cardamom, licorice and bitter orange peel. The finish reveals toasted wood, cloves and eucalyptus, leaving a long aftertaste of dried botanicals and dark chocolate.
