Our very first bottling of The GlenAllachie 10-year-old Cask Strength happened by chance. In 2017, whilst reviewing parcels of stock from 2007 and 2008, our Master Distiller Billy Walker was so delighted by the balance and depth of the samples that he immediately decided to add a younger expression to our core range.

The eighth-release of cask strength 10-year-old from Glenallachie, released in November 2022, is a marriage of Pedro Ximenex and oloroso sherry puncheons, as well as a small number of virgin oak and ex-Rioja red wine casks, specially-selected by master blender Billy Walker.

The result is a nose that bursts with mocha, nutmeg, and walnut aromas, followed by heather honey, sweet raisins, and dried berries. The palate offers notes of cinnamon, molasses, honeycomb, ginger, dark chocolate, nutmeg, and fennel that linger in the finish.
