Up there with the most popular distilleries to emerge from Scotland, Jura may just have outdone themselves with this 21-year-old malt.

This sweet and smoky whisky was released as part of Jura’s Aged Vintage series.

It was matured for 21 years in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in virgin American white oak casks, creating a sweet and spicy character with creamy caramel, ginger biscuit, and ripe berry aromas.

The palate offers notes of sweet gingerbread, white chocolate, vanilla macaroons, and custard, with a spicy fresh ginger edge.
