Bottled at natural strength, the aroma is classic Kilkerran – waxy, vanilla, and malty notes (reminiscent of digestive biscuits), joined by green apples and citrus.

There is a distinctive mineral quality to the palate, which carries golden syrup, salted peanuts and a gentle peat smoke flavour.

The lingering finish is a balance of peat smoke, liquorice and briny flavours so familiar to the whiskies of Campbeltown.

Kilkerran is a wonderfully old-fashioned dram with a timeless quality of being complex and characterful.
