The Kilkerran Heavily Peated series from Campbeltown’s Glengyle distillery has reached its 10th batch, which was matured in 90% bourbon and 10% sherry casks.
Tasting Note
Nose A sweet introduction, there are notes of icing sugar, creme brulee and custard.
Palate The peat smoke is soft and sweet, with notes of toasted marshmallows typical of the Kilkerran Heavily Peated range. Over time, hinting of gooseberries and parma violets develop.
Finish: The sweetness lingers in the finish in notes of orange pulp.
