Matured slowly in sherry casks, it’s accessible in both aroma and flavour; easy to drink, young at heart for an 18-year-old. Aromas are simple and attractive.

Deep, rich fruit; ripe plums, tinned pears, tinned mandarin oranges. Soft vanilla fudge. With water, still fruity but more acidic. A trace of caramelized brown sugar. Digestive biscuits.

Pleasant to drink straight – sweet, with deeper almond notes, hints of sherry and light oak, some malty flavours. With a little water (not too much) still sweet and mouth-filling; some digestive biscuits.
Knockando Distillery is an old-fashioned traditional distillery that has retained its human touch. Located in Morayshire amidst the hills along the river Spey, the distillery is perched on a high wooded bank between present day villages of Knockando and Archiestown in Speyside. The name Knockando originates from the Gaelic phrase “cnoc an dhu” which means “little black hill”
