**Cameron Douglas MS**: “It presents a classic bouquet and palate with notes of blackberry and spiced dark plums, alongside hints of chocolate and a touch of licorice, followed by baking spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, firm tannins and a medium-plus acidity underpin a core of ripe red berry fruits and plum. The wine also exhibits a toasty tobacco quality and suggestions of crumbled stone, adding complexity and length.”

**The winery**: “This Barossa cabernet is crafted with precision. It offers a luxurious experience in a varietal often characterized by its seriousness. While there is an abundance of fruit flavor, it is balanced with the necessary tannins and acidity, resulting in a well-rounded wine. It pairs beautifully with Steak Anglais and English mustard, deviled kidneys, or a Croque Monsieur; however, a classic Steak au Poivre with mashed potatoes would be the ideal complement.”
