Zacapa XO Reserve
Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac

Containing a blend of rums from 6 to 25 years old, with an extra ageing stage in French oak barrels that previously held cognac

Appearance: Mahogany with intense red hints of long barrel ageing at the rim and long, slow legs
Nose: A great balance of mature toasted oak, burnt caramel, dry-roasted nuts, marzipan and orange peel
Palate: Long, smooth and sweet with a weight of dark cherry chocolate and flavours of intense dried fruits like sultana, date and prune.
