TASTING NOTES:

The 2022 Maître D’ Cabernet is a wine with deep red and purple hues and a rich aroma. It’s complex and flavourful, with cherry and blackberry notes transitioning into hints of liquorice, cigar box, and mocha, all while maintaining fruit sweetness. This Cabernet is a well-balanced delight.

TECHNICAL NOTES:

The grapes were grown on the Coppermine Road, Long Gully Road, Ryan Road, and Gateway vineyards in McLaren Vale, and the Joppich vineyard in Langhorne Creek. Barrel fermented and matured in 89% American and 11% French oak, using 34% new, 53% one-year old and 13% two-year-old barrels. The required Marquis Fruit Weight™ for the Lefty Series is 65% – 75%.

The Actual Fruit Weight for 2022 The Maitre D’ is 67%.
